Catherine Ciucci - Atlee High School Catherine has always loved coming to see Legendary Santa, and particularly enjoyed seeing the Snow Queen each year. She has worked with children in a variety of capacities, including through Vacation Bible School at her church and through volunteering at the Children’s Hospital, which she describes as “a life-changing experience.” She would like to become a teacher one day and created games, songs and skits for fourth-grade students to help them study for their SOL tests for her Girl Scout Gold Award. Her inspiration for the project came from love of Virginia history and her admiration for her own fourth-grade teacher. She would be honored to be chosen as the 2012 Snow Queen Scholarship recipient. |
