Adapted program focused on four habitats and an introduction to food chains and animal adaptations. It will include hands-on building of habitats, camouflage activities and more!

American Indian Journey

Adapted program focusing on the Powhatan Native American tribe (Eastern woodland). Through sensory experiences, students will gain a better understanding of their food, shelter, clothing, homes and transportation.

Adapted program in which students will learn about visual and auditory patterns through the book, The Leopard’s Drum. Students will be able to use drumsticks to create rhythm patterns. This program also includes a take home art activity.

Adapted program focusing on the parts of a plant and the life cycle of a plant. It includes an adapted story, hands on diagrams of parts of a plant and life cycle of a plant, and the supplies for students to start their own garden at home.

The museum offers fidget toys, weighted vests and headphones for children with special needs. These items are available for check-out at the front desk at both locations.
