Learning is always an adventure at the Children's Museum of Richmond!
Please read our registration instructions and guidelines prior to booking a field trip.
WHO: Pre-K up to 3rd grade students -- All groups must have (or pay for) a minimum of 10 children and bring 1 adult for every 5 children.
WHAT: A private, hands-on educational program plus unlimited free play in the museum exhibits. All programs are aligned with VA SOLs and VA’s Foundation Blocks for Early Learning.
WHEN: Visits can be scheduled between the hours of 9:30am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Most groups arrive at 10am and depart around 1pm.
WHERE: Visit us at CMoR Central (Richmond), CMoR Chesterfield, or CMoR Fredericksburg. These visits are not available at CMoR Short Pump.
WHY: Did you know CMoR is a not-for-profit organization and charges admission to be able to give back to the community? We are also home to the Central VA Children’s Book Bank and Commonwealth Parenting.
COST: $9/student -- Teachers are free – Groups receive 1 free chaperone for every 5 children – Additional chaperones pay $9 or scholarship rate.
The rate of a visit for only museum exploration (without an educator-led program) is $8/student. Additional chaperones pay $8 or scholarship rate.
