The Legend of the Snow Queen

The Legend of the Snow Queen

In the land of Winter, where nothing was green, there was a kingdom of ice ruled by the Snow Queen.
On her blizzard of hair she wore an icicle crown, and the lightest of frosts formed the lace of her gown.
Her eyes dazzled like sun-sparkled snow, and the chill in the air gave her cheeks a rose glow.

From her castle she'd watch the flurries swirl by, following each flake as it danced through the sky.
No matter how long she watched, or how quickly they came, she never saw two that were exactly the same.
And though each was different, they made quite a sight, when together, they'd blanket her palace in white.

How delightful! said the Queen with a bright little smile, Each snowflake's unique just like every child!
And when they all come together in one spot to play they add laughter and magic to a wintery day.

So, inspired by the wonder of that blanket of snow, the Queen sleighed from her castle to the valley below.
She headed to Richmond, where the weather is warm, to bring children the joys of a daily snow storm.
So put on your mittens and come join the play!
